Manchester United are eyeing Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins as a potential summer transfer option if Rasmus Hojlund leaves. Even with a £60 million release clause.
A report from ‘Telegraph Football’ says that head coach Ruben Amorim has given up on developing Hoylund. And is ready to sell him to Inter Milan at the end of the year. สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น
A suitable replacement is 29-year-old Watkins, who has a style that fits the system. And has experience playing in the English Premier League. So he doesn’t need to adjust much.

Watkins, who has scored five goals in 18 England appearances. And is contracted until 2028 has scored 75 goals in 184 Premier League games for Unai Emery’s side and is set to impress again in the 2024-25 season, contributing 16 goals and eight assists.
If Watkins’ move does materialise, a slight change in strategy would be to add younger players under Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as the Villa striker turns 30 later this year.
However, Villa are unwilling to lose the English player and have an advantage at the negotiating table because his contract expires in June 2028 .
But it may easily change if a suitable fee arrives for a player who turns 30 in September. It would then become a question over whether United should pay such a high fee for someone who has very to little sell-on-value.
